Autonomy of individuals with alcohol-related disorders: informed consent

Abstract Informed consent, as a way to ensure involvement and treatment adherence, is part of the therapeutic approach individuals with alcohol-related disorders. Autonomy, core ethical value, its immanence for informed consent presents ethical-clinical challenges in case seeking due coercion, anxiety, or depression. Between April 2018 June 2019, prospective longitudinal observational study was conducted 150 people disorders attending specialized facility. The goal verify whether obtained under influenced by anxiety disorder depression determines participation. Absence judicial coercion anxious symptomatology greater value placed on perceived autonomy were related proposes contributions strengthen practice obtaining based recognition promotion autonomy.
